The most secure data is the data nobody else holds. SnagDesk is built offline-first with no account and no server, so your projects, photos and reports stay on your device and never pass through us. There is no cloud database to breach and no login to compromise.
Everything stays on your device
Projects, snags, photos, markup and report settings are all stored in the app's local storage on your iPhone. Capturing a defect, marking up a photo and generating a PDF all happen on the device, with no upload at any point.
No account, nothing to breach
There is no sign-up and no password. That removes an entire category of risk: there are no credentials to steal, no account to take over, and no central store of user data that could be exposed.
No tracking, no analytics SDKs
The app does not contain third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers or location data. What you do in the app is not reported anywhere.
Backups you control
Your data is included in your iPhone's standard iCloud device backup if you have that switched on in iOS Settings. That backup is controlled by you and by Apple, under your iCloud account, and never involves us. Keeping backups switched on is the simplest way to protect against a lost or damaged phone.
Sharing a report
When you export a PDF and send it, you choose the recipient with your own apps. SnagDesk hands the file to iOS and is not involved in the delivery, so you stay in control of who receives it.
